What if my husband/ kids are not keen on the idea of a photography session?
The idea of extended photography sessions or having a camera in my face all day sounds less than appealing to most people … thats where these sessions are different … there will be no enticed joy, telling you where to look , forced smiles , uncomfortable ‘best’ clothes … it’s about hanging out with you for the day … there will be no uncomfortable poses, or cheesy games or prompts to get you to perform in any way. If there are melt downs , crazy tempers , or any moments at all .. we have plenty of time for them to come back to themselves again … I will document you all doing what it is that you do.
Won’t it feel awkward to be photographed all day?
You will know i am there , with my camera … but it will likely only feel a little unusual for maybe the first hour or so … I very much interact with everyone all day , and am not trying to hide in dark corners sneakily making photos …. you will very much be aware of my presence , but it won’t be as ‘that woman with the camera… telling us where to look and how to stand’ but most likely as Niki who has come to hang out with us for the day.
Side note : Even when not seemingly making pictures with my camera … i will always be watching .. what is going on , what the light is doing, where is a good composition etc …

Why are your sessions so expensive?
The cost is about the unique vision and experienced eye, and the very personalised images unique to you.
Do you need to spend this much to get professional photos?
No ….Professional photography is a luxury and you don’t need it – you can get photos else where , absolutley .But if you want this… …with 10 years’ experience, good reviews and award winning background you can be confident the investment you make is well spent.
